“ UPDATE: OWNERS, PAY ATTENTION TO THIS REVIEW. It is still our favorite even after 9 years of going there. When we first went there around 2016, one of the Korean owners came to sit with us for a few minutes as we were new customers, and the wife is also Korean. We learned a lot about them and the restaurant. Great smart people. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said EXCEPT, the main problem we see a lot is that orders get mixed up. Over 30% of our visits, there is at least once where someone else gets our order, or we get another person's order. Many people don't know sushi well enough to realize they got the wrong thing and eat it. I wonder what happens when we send back something we did not order. I hope it is not thrown out and wasted. One example is that we went there in the middle of the week after lunch when it was not busy. Only one other couple there. You guessed where I'm going with this. Their order came to our table !!! How can this happen with just two customers in there? SO, HERE IS OUR SUGGESTION: Since you probably don't like putting numbers on the table, how about putting names of fish on the table and/or use cute stickers. Amazon does this for you. They have all kinds of fish stickers. Example, use different letters of the alphabet such as AngelFish, Bass, Clownfish, Dolphin, etc. You don't have to use consecutive letters, jut different ones. Or use sushi names instead of fish names. You don't have more than 26 tables, so no problem. When the waiter picks up the order, have them write the first letter of the fish name on the order paper so they will know where to deliver it when it is made. You get the idea. Summary: We are not upset. We just hate to see you possibly waste food with wrong orders. We love the place. Again, keep in mind this problem happens with us about a third of the time we have come there, and it has been going on for years. Best of luck and keep up the great work. ”
“ I ordered sushi to go and it was so quick! I didn't have to wait long and everyone was so kind. I ordered tha highway, tha pink lady, and that shiznit. They were all delicious but tha highway was my absolute favorite. Everything was fresh and were great combinations of fish. Can't wait to come back and try other rolls. The to go condiment were nice, I love when they provide everything like we are eating at the restaurant ”
“ Excellent sushi restaurant! The food was great and the service was great. Sea weed salad was the best I ever had. I'm going to be back often. ”
“ Excellent service and good location. Even if there is a wait they are usually pretty efficient at getting you in. Their fish is usually good and fresh. I wish there was more variety with the rolls but what they do is done well. They have the best green tea ice cream! Lots of options besides all you can eat. Great appetizers and more! ”
“ Delicious sushi for a great price point. The service is always stellar with lots of seating and a clean atmosphere. ”
“ Wow, what a fantastic Five Star Dining Experience at Tha Joint in Sparks off Los Altos Pky. We were welcomed and seated at the sushi bar, the place was electric with lots of customers for a buzzing Saturday night. Loved the atmosphere and the service was outstanding! The Fish was fresh and the menu had so many choices of rolls. Thank you to Tony, our server and Sushi Chef's Gil & Javier for creating so many sushi rolls with style. It was a Five Star Dining Experience. Fast, friendly delicious and fresh. Well done! Tae Sung Lee is an Outstanding Restaurant Manager. I loved watching so many employees working together to make great food with such finesse. Tha Joint Sushi & Grill, 2 locations, Sparks & Reno. A great dining experience. Loved it! Julie A ”
“ Great sushi "joint" right here in Sparks! There aren't many restaurant options and we're so happy we have one that is delicious. It is your common sushi place and they do offer some non sushi items as well. All you can eat sushi (AYCE), is $27 for lunch and I believe $36ish for dinner. You can also get brown rice upon request, I loved that! We opted to set at the bar area, where kids are also welcome, and the rolls were made in front of us. The sushi chefs were great about asking what roll we wanted next. The deep fried rolls take longer so keep that in mind if you want one. It's definitely worth a try! The ambiance laid back and casual. ”
“ Our top place to go for sushi. Have never been disappointed. Sitting at the bar is a treat to watch things being made.... But with a large group it is easy to order with your own pencil and menu!! They have a weekday special Of all you can eat and sake.... Favorite rolls... Upside down shrimp...can get it with scallops as well OMG Hitman Save room for the Mochi!! ”
“ I've been to Tha Joint a couple times now since relocating here. Overall I think it's a decent spot, affordable, and I'd eat there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The restaurant is a standard sushi bar, and could be more neat/tidy. Their service is pretty speedy, and I enjoy their rolls aren't super large. I prefer smaller roll sizes, not overloaded with rice, which can be common with AYCE. All that said, the rolls all kind of have the same flavor profile, and most have imitation crab. I also prefer when the chef serves sushi with the accommodating flavor adds. Examples like; ponzu with albacore (binnaga/binchou) or a thin jalapeño with halibut. ”
“ All You Can Eat: Their AYCE sushi is my favorite in Reno/ Sparks. Their house named roll is really good, Tha Jall Bait. Tha Highway is to die for. Tha MC is a great cooked roll. For veggie lovers Tha Vegan and Tha Tempura Veggie rolls are great. You can order Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck style nigiri which you have to try if you haven't yet. I'm an especially big fan of their mussels. Sashimi Combo: This is a great choice if you are trying to avoid rice. The serving of fish is very hearty and filling. I feel like I got more fish than if I had done AYCE. I might have asked for more ponzu sauce but you only need that if you really like to drown your fish. Ambiance: Ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. The TVs are blue from being on so much. The tops of the soy sauces are cracked. There's some work needed to make the interior really shine, but I can say that I've always felt like the environment is clean. Service: Always prompt and polite. They are okay with a party that has one person doing AYCE and one person doing single rolls. Just help them out and list the rolls you got al la carts on your chopstick paper to help them out. (They don't ask you to do this but I think it's a nice thing to offer) ”
